Shakespeare and the Pandemic

2020 marked the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival South Africa’s 10th anniversary. This remarkable milestone had to be re-imagined for the remainder of 2020 in the light of the restrictions and theatre closures due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

By applying careful consideration and maintaining close and open communication with educators and learners, it was with great excitement that the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival South Africa, along with Shakespeare Schools’ Festival International was able to continue successfully with the festival rollout online for the remainder of the year.
