Celebrate Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary the African Way with The Shakespeare Schools Festival SA (SSF SA)!

​This exciting Youth Development Program is aimed at improving language and social skills at the nexus between Performing Arts and Education.

Each year the festival encourages schools to perform abridged “thirty-minute” versions of Shakespearean plays in their local professional theatres throughout the country. The first SSF SA will be hosted at Baxter theatre 18-21 April 2016 including Herschel Girls School, Parklands College, St George’s Grammar, Cannons Creek Independent School, Vista Nova High School; Chris Hani Secondary School; Camps Bay High School; Sans Souci High School; Lalela Project; The Amy Biehl Foundation Drama, Durban-based Westville Boys’ High School, …and many more!
